Gourmet Day a Huge Success
This year's annual Gourmet Day was a huge success raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Yorke Peninsula branch.
We wish to thank all those who assisted in the day, held on Sunday the 3th of July. Special thanks must go to our winemaker Colin Sheppard who crafts our wine into the great products we have available on the day for everyone to enjoy.
We would also like to thank our dedicated staff Leon, Mick, Tayla and Brooklyn as well as our volunteers Peta, Jess M, Jess A, Hannah, Jacki, Nicola and Bill.
To our stall holders and food providers MBC Foods, Sweetwater Asian Takeaway, Maitland Hospital staff, Maitland Lutheran School, Maitland Children's Centre, Yorkes Uncorked and Rustic Tarts thank you for the wonderful food and sweets for the day.
Thank you to our art and craft exhibitors Heather and Geoff Lock, Bob and Jenny Landt, Caz from CazArt Studio and Alpacas Chaparral as well as Matt Ward the Auctioneer for our Wine Auction.
Thank you to Caz from CazArt Studio who took photos for us on the day as well.
Particular thanks to Jayne from Jayne's Country Classics for the fashion parade and those who assisted as models on the day. Thanks to Yorkreations for the flower displays as well as the Germein Sisters, the entertainment for the day which was greatly received.
Thank you to all our customers that came out and supported the event. Days like this cannot be a success without the support of the local community.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who generously supported the Barley Stacks Wines wine auction which also included a signed CD donated by the Germein Sisters. The auction raised a total of $1980, all of which will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation Yorke Peninsula branch.
Once again thank you to everyone involved in the day. We are already looking forward to next year.
